Who You’ll Work With We’re experiencing tremendous growth and need a self‑motivated Pre‑Sales Network Systems Engineer to provide technical support for customers and prospects in the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
Partner proactively with Account Managers to understand and solve customer challenges, conduct network architecture workshops and product presentations.
Architect, design and propose Data Center, Routing & Campus network and security solutions that drive new or additional sales.
Perform hands‑on proof‑of‑concepts and initial network deployments using state‑of‑the‑art products and features.
Create design guidelines and recommend network improvements to customers.
Lead technical responses to RFP/RFQs.
Guide customer feature requests from requirements to implementation and deployment.
Provide customer feedback to Product Management and Development.
Represent Arista at industry events and conferences.
Stay current on competitive solutions, products and services.
Author white papers, blogs and articles on technology and products.
Qualifications
Highly motivated, proactive team player who steps out of comfort zone.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Sales attitude: Passion to drive new business as a team.
Ability to travel nationally or to neighboring countries as required.
Technical degree required.
Experience in networking design and implementation.
Practical experience with routing and switching, including relevant protocols.
Recent experience in Data Center, Routing and/or Campus network architecture designs.
Excellent presentation skills.
Deep knowledge of switching and routing protocols (Spanning Tree, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, VXLAN, EVPN, Multicast, QoS, Network Segmentation, etc.).
Knowledge of Service Provider technologies is a plus.
Knowledge of Campus technologies is a plus.
Good understanding of competitor technology landscape.
Preferred work experience as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre‑Sales Systems Engineer or Network Consulting Engineer.
Practical security deployment experience is a plus.
Recent hands‑on CLI experience highly desired.
Interest in learning NetOps/DevOps tools such as Python and Ansible.
CCIE, JNCIE or equivalent industry certification.
