Job Title:
Cloud / DevOps Engineer (Mid‑Level)
Location:
Leeds / Hybrid (2 days per week)
Salary:
£40,000‑£60,000 + benefits
Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure or GCP.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration.
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
Support the operation of distributed systems, ensuring reliability, performance and security.
Contribute coding expertise in languages such as Python, Go or JavaScript.
Collaborate closely with clients and cross‑functional teams, providing clarity and technical guidance throughout delivery.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues using structured debugging and problem‑solving approaches.
Promote cloud‑native best practices and modern DevOps tooling within engineering teams.
Requirements
Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong understanding of cloud‑native architectures and modern technical stacks.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
Experience with CI/CD tooling and automation platforms.
Practical programming experience in at least one mainstream language (Python, Go, JavaScript).
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, security principles and distributed systems.
Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS).
Strong communication, teamwork and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail, able to work effectively in evolving, complex environments.
