Role Overview: My client is seeking an experienced
Applications Engineer
to act as the technical interface between their engineering teams and customers throughout Europe. This role requires strong customer‑facing abilities, the capability to communicate complex technical detail clearly, and solid grounding in electrical engineering principles. The position involves supporting product integration, troubleshooting, and helping customers optimise system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, providing on‑site and remote support.
Assist with pre‑sales and post‑sales activities, including demonstrations, application advice, and technical troubleshooting.
Travel across Europe to support installations, testing, and customer training.
Translate customer requirements into engineering inputs and actionable feedback.
Create and deliver technical documentation, application notes, and presentations.
Capture customer insights to support product development direction and market strategy.
Collaborate with the Sales team to engage OEMs and grow technical opportunities.
Required Experience & Skills:
Degree in
Electrical Engineering
or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of
controllers ,
inverters , and power electronics.
Excellent technical communication and relationship‑building skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a hands‑on approach.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Europe.
Confidence interacting with customers at all levels, both technical and non‑technical.
Candidate Profiles That Fit:
Engineers with experience in controllers/inverters seeking to transition into an applications‑focused role.
Experienced
Applications Engineers
with a strong electrical foundation and desire for broad customer exposure.
Preferred Attributes:
Knowledge of electromechanical systems (e.g., motors, drives, or related technology).
Experience supporting OEM customers or niche technical sectors.
Ability to work independently while managing a dynamic travel schedule.
