Job Description Digital is changing how we deliver the Water industry’s most ambitious engineering projects. As a Digital Solutions Engineer you will help our clients reach AMP8 delivery targets by unlocking productivity gains and efficiencies across asset lifecycle stages – operations, strategy, planning, design, procurement and construction.
In this role you will:
Responsibilities
Develop and apply computational design and automation tools for water design projects.
Build parametric and data‑driven models using Python, Grasshopper and Dynamo.
Support BIM-enabled delivery on Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks.
Contribute to tools and workflows that enable optioneering, design optimisation and rapid scenario testing.
Identify and articulate the value of digital solutions – efficiency, cost, and risk reduction.
Work with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
Challenge existing workflows, champion automation and embed new digital tools into the team’s practice.
Implement, test, document and train teams on new tools and workflows.
Qualifications & Experience
Undergraduate or higher degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience and qualifications.
Demonstrated experience in computational design or parametric modelling using Python, Grasshopper or Dynamo.
Clear understanding of wider digital developments and their benefits in the water or construction industry.
Experience delivering digital projects.
Strong communication skills – able to understand team requirements, influence behaviours and foster a culture of innovation.
