Overview We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical platforms in the financial risk and compliance space. This is a hands‑on role focused on CI / CD, deployment automation, and Kubernetes-based infrastructure supporting highly reliable, scalable services.
You will work closely with engineering and QA teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and traceable delivery across multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and optimise CI / CD pipelines to improve deployment speed, reliability, and consistency.
Automate deployments and environment configuration using infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform).
Embed deployment best practices across development and QA workflows.
Support production handover, incident triage, and defect prioritisation.
Promote resilient, self‑healing microservices and strong operational practices.
Manage stakeholder communication and track delivery risks and dependencies.
Maintain a strong understanding of end‑to‑end architecture and system integrations.
Required Experience
Strong background in DevOps practices, tooling, and automation.
Proven experience leading DevOps initiatives across development and operations teams.
Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Linux / Unix, and containerised systems.
Experience building and operating deployment pipelines and debugging distributed systems.
Knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL technologies.
Familiarity with modern architectures including containers, APIs, and streaming platforms.
Experience working in Agile environments and using Git with established branching strategies.
Ability to produce clear operational documentation (e.g. runbooks).
