Spectrum Brands is seeking a strategic and results-driven Digital Marketing Manager, ideally someone currently working in an e-commerce or digital marketing role within a consumer brand, to lead our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) digital strategy for Russell Hobbs and Remington.
This is a pivotal role where you’ll manage DTC website operations, performance marketing, and customer acquisition strategies to deliver measurable growth and drive meaningful consumer impact that elevates our brands’ presence. Experience with PPC/Google advertising, paid social media, and managing a DTC website will be essential in this role.
The Role Reporting into the UK Head of Marketing, you will lead and develop our digital function, managing a direct report and working closely with internal and external partners across the UK, EMEA, and global teams.
This role leads the UK execution of our direct to consumer strategy, working with the International DTC lead to ensure we develop and grow our consumer brand experience and contribute to direct sales growth. Key responsibilities include:
eCommerce Management
Oversee the management and optimisation of the DTC brand website, ensuring a seamless shopping experience, work with the regional & global DTC teams to deliver continual website improvements, updating brand and product content, editorial storytelling and SEO
Work with the Regional DTC lead on the UK e-commerce strategy, developing merchandising and promotional plans, aligned to the UK promotional calendar to grow revenue through the UK e-commerce sales channel.
Develop and execute strategies to increase conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and customer retention what about traffic?
Review and execute opportunities to develop our DTC strategy through social commerce, bringing together social media and e-commerce channels.
Work with DTC team and utilise analytical tools to track, review and evaluate website performance, traffic and customer engagement, providing recommendations to increase traffic & conversion and grow AOV.
Optimise the online customer journey, including checkout processes and post-purchase experience
Performance Marketing
Plan, execute, and optimise paid digital campaigns across Google Ads, Meta and other relevant platforms.
Lead SEO, PPC, display advertising, affiliates and email marketing strategies that drive online growth
Monitor campaign performance, analyse data, and generate insights to refine targeting strategies.
Stay ahead of digital marketing trends and platform updates to maximize marketing effectiveness
Work with Social Media Manager to create content for paid ads, and share insights.
Analytics & Reporting
Utilise relevant tools such as Google Analytics and Meta Ads Manager to track digital marketing effectiveness.
Conduct A/B testing to refine digital marketing strategies and improve ROI
Provide regular reports on campaign performance, key metrics, customer insights, and recommendations for optimisation.
Other
Manage any UK digital agencies that support e-comm or performance marketing activities.
Line manage, coach and develop Digital Marketing Executive in all their responsibilities and identify opportunities for training and development.
Collaborate with Trade Marketing Manager and Marketplace Manager to ensure our Digital & e-comm channel activity complements our wider DTC and online channel strategies
Work with UK Brand Managers and Social Media Manager to build awareness & engagement driven landing pages onsite, supporting their campaigns.
About You We are looking for a passionate, commercially focused digital expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’re collaborative and proactive, with the confidence to lead digital thinking and the humility to work cross-functionally.
You will bring:
Currently working in an e-commerce or digital marketing role for a consumer brand, with strong experience in digital marketing, eCommerce management and performance marketing.
Demonstrable experience managing a DTC website, with a deep understanding of online consumer journeys.
Hands-on expertise across PPC/Google Ads, paid social, and wider performance channels.
Strong knowledge of SEO, PPC, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), and customer acquisition tactics.
Proven experience managing agencies, budgets, and stakeholders, agency-side experience is also highly beneficial.
Strong interpersonal and team-working skills, comfortable influencing at all levels.
Leadership experience, ideally with direct reports.
Ability to manage and analyse large-scale advertising budgets with a data-driven approach.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Energy, curiosity, and a readiness to make a meaningful impact.
