What you’ll be doing...
Mentorship & Team Leadership – Provide guidance and coaching to reporting Business Analysts, establish best practices, troubleshoot complex reports, and standardize documentation. Foster a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.
Maintaining BI Roadmaps (Functional & Technical) – Define and own a roadmap for ongoing enhancements to dashboards, data transformations, and self‑service analytics. Align short‑term deliverables with long‑term initiatives.
Hands‑On Reporting & Power BI Expertise – Serve as the go‑to authority for Power BI (or equivalent tools) for data modeling, DAX queries, and performance optimization. Partner with data engineers to design efficient data pipelines.
Lottery‑Specific Business Analysis – Collaborate with marketing, finance and operations to capture requirements and translate them into reporting solutions while balancing regulatory mandates.
Data Quality & Governance – Ensure robust data accuracy and access controls for all published reports, support and refine governance processes, and uphold lottery guidelines.
Project Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement – Manage end‑to‑end analytics projects: scoping, backlog management, UAT and production rollout; coordinate cross‑functional teams and provide status updates.
User Enablement & Self‑Service – Drive training programs, demos, lunch‑and‑learn sessions, promote self‑service BI adoption and streamline user permissions.
Key Measures of Success
Timeliness & Quality of Deliverables – BI initiatives delivered on schedule with minimal post‑deployment rework.
Stakeholder Satisfaction & Adoption – Positive feedback from lottery ops, finance, marketing and growth in self‑serve usage.
Data Accuracy & Regulatory Alignment – Strict adherence to lottery regulations and no major data quality issues.
Mentorship & Team Performance – Continuous improvement in reporting BA competencies and standardized best practices.
Roadmap Progress & Innovation – Steady advancement of functional and technical items, delivery of new features such as AI visuals and incremental load strategies.
Key Skills and Experience
8+ Years in BI/Analytics – Proven track record in data analysis, dashboard development and stakeholder management within a regulated environment.
Expertise in Reporting Tools (Power BI Preferred) – Hands‑on proficiency with data modeling, DAX, performance tuning and ability to mentor others.
Project Delivery & Documentation – Experience leading BI projects end‑to‑end, producing user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog items.
Leadership & Communication – Strong interpersonal skills to coach BAs, unify best practices and drive cross‑functional cooperation.
Data Governance & Compliance – Awareness of regulatory constraints, ensuring solutions respect data privacy rules and compliance guidelines.
Additional Qualifications – Microsoft Power BI certifications (DA‑100/PL‑300) highly preferred; lottery domain experience preferred; prior enterprise‑level BI implementation experience a plus.
