QA Analyst
to join our unannounced project team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis, working 3 days a week from the hub, remote / hybrid from Dublin or on a remote basis from the UK or Portugal.

We are in the early stages of development on an ambitious, unannounced, cross-platform Strategy/MMO title, creating a team of talented and passionate game makers to join us on this exciting journey!
What You Will Do
Gameplay & Systems Testing: Perform comprehensive manual and exploratory testing across foundational gameplay systems, ensuring core functionality, responsiveness, and player experience are consistent across all supported platforms
Technical & Pipeline Validation: Test and validate underlying technical frameworks, including asset pipelines, data integration, and backend systems, to ensure performance, stability, and reliability in live and development environments
UI/UX & Presentation Quality: Evaluate the usability, clarity, and consistency of in-game interfaces and overlays—including menus, tooltips, notifications, and transitions—ensuring a seamless and intuitive player experience across devices and resolutions
Player Flow & Accessibility: Validate onboarding, account creation, navigation flows, and internal deep-linking behaviours to ensure players can access and engage with all key features smoothly
Regression & Compatibility Testing: Conduct structured regression passes and stability checks following feature implementations, UI changes, and engine or Unity upgrades, identifying regressions and maintaining cross‑platform compatibility
Bug Tracking & Reporting: Log and track issues in JIRA, ensuring all defects are clearly documented with reproducible steps, environment details, and supporting evidence
Test Planning & Documentation: Develop and maintain clear, detailed test cases, test plans, and regression checklists that evolve alongside the project’s systems and features
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and producers to align testing coverage with feature goals, ensuring efficient communication and timely resolution of quality issues
Quality Advocacy: Provide structured feedback on gameplay balance, usability, technical performance, and overall product polish
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of QA experience within the video game industry, ideally on cross‑platform or MMO projects
Proven expertise in testing complex gameplay systems, user interfaces, and technical frameworks
Familiarity with Unity and experience validating large‑scale systems following engine upgrades or refactors
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Proficiency in JIRA or similar bug tracking tools
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self‑directed approach to collaboration
Experience with UI/UX testing across multiple device form factors (mobile, tablet, PC)
