Responsibilities
Ensure QC testing and checks are carried out as directed by the Quality Co‑ordinator
Managing the full testing schedule for site (plastics, polyethylene) tests include, but not limited to, Gel Analysis, Melt flow, Polymer identification, Tear, Gauge, Puncture and Opacity.
Develop an understanding of recycling process waste streams and RCA
Manage stakeholders and expectations for various departments
Documentation of non‑conformances and process changes
Operate Lab equipment to a high degree, ensuring compliance and accuracy of results
Pellet, scrap surveillance and trend analysis
Preparing certificates of analysis for products and managing customer complaint samples
General housekeeping
Support lab activities as required
Additional ad hoc tasks where required
Qualifications
Experience with ISO standards, plastics or recycling related industry
Good GCSE Grades in English, Maths and Science
Good understanding of quality expectations, be able to problem solve and make decisions with confidence
IT and Microsoft literacy
Ability to manage own workload, enthusiastic, hardworking and able to use their own initiative.
