Quality Assurance Coordinator
to join a fast-growing and dynamic food import and distribution company. This is a key role for someone who is passionate about food safety, quality assurance and compliance looking to make a real impact within a growing organisation. You'll be responsible for implementing, managing and developing the company's food safety and quality assurance systems, working across multiple product categories and supplier networks. What We Offer: Annual performance-based bonus Laptop and mobile phone Continuous professional development and long-term career prospects Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures and documentation in line with UK regulations Stay up-to-date on food industry standards, legislation and best practices Maintain supplier databases, product specifications, technical documentation and traceability systems Ensure packaging and labelling compliance for all imported and distributed products Handle quality-related customer complaints, working with suppliers and internal teams for resolution Support and potentially lead the implementation of BRCGS Agent & Broker certification Liaise regularly with suppliers, internal teams, and customers regarding quality standards Assist with procurement and supply chain quality improvements as needed Ideal Candidate Profile: Degree in Food Science or a related field Minimum 2 years of experience in food quality assurance within the UK food industry Strong working knowledge of BRCGS/IFS Standards, HACCP, UK/EU food regulations Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Confident communicator with a positive, hands-on attitude Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment This is a fantastic career opportunity for someone looking to develop and grow in a quality and compliance role within the food import and wholesale sector.
