About the role Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) are now recruiting for a Senior Graphic Designer to join our Graphic Design team where you'll work independently within marketing squads and the department influencing at creative, process or production level. You'll be solving design problems using your own initiative, proactively promoting collaboration, and persuading squads and stakeholders to adopt a client focused approach to creative problem-solving whilst strengthening design team/department capability by proactively sharing knowledge and coaching peers.
As a Senior Graphic Designer, you'll be championing the brand and its consistent delivery across the business with the ability to operate at tactical or strategic level. This is a really exciting role where you have significant influence over the direction of marketing, brand, client outcomes and organisational success.
What you’ll be doing
Working collaboratively and building successful relationships within squads, stakeholders, and wider business to better inform design solutions
Iterating and improving designs based on evidence and sound rational
Supporting marketing and development teams with clear rational and documentation
Conforming and contributing to organisational design standards
Working to brand, design guidelines and pattern libraries, and comfortable to challenge and evolve when required, ensuring the quality of output in both print and digital media
Developing end to end solutions from concept creation through to delivery, alongside developers to ensure the design work is effectively implemented and looks great
Working with the User‑centred design department to help shape the design team within HL
Collaborating and supporting the design team to ensure consistency across platforms and media, developing the teams design approach
Sharing work with colleagues for critique, provide constructive, actionable critique on the work of others and facilitate critique sessions
Proactively share knowledge effecting positive change across the team and wider department
About you
Excellent knowledge of established design approaches, patterns, and marketing process
Ability to set up and run collaborative design workshops
Experience with digital and print medias. Marketing, campaigns, internal external communication, and social media
Confidently design creative solutions whilst considering all accessibility needs
Clearly articulate design decisions and rational to stakeholders and wider business
Passion for creative design, keeping up to date with trends, techniques and emerging patterns
Strong attention to detail, with excellent visual design knowledge and experience
Ability to work, and be resilient, in a fast paced and changeable environment
Interview process The interview process for this role will be two‑stages, which includes presenting some work from your portfolio.
Working Schedule This role is based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern to enable you the option of working from home and coming into the office.
