With exciting launches such as Burj Azizi (the second tallest tower in the world), Monaco Mansions and Azizi Venice – Dubai’s new luxurious Venetian‑inspired waterfront community, we are rapidly expanding our capabilities in our Design 360 Studio, where our team seamlessly integrates Architecture, Structures, MEP, Landscape, Interiors and Supervision to deliver a variety of innovative and value‑driven real‑estate assets.
As a Design Manager reporting into the Head of Special, working from our Design Studio at the Al Hudaiba Awards office in Dubai, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the signature design details of the Azizi Opera project.
Responsibilities include
Lead, manage and direct the design delivery team for the conference hall (internal/external), providing clear guidance, feedback and support.
Manage and delegate responsibilities to other design delivery team members and provide clear direction and instructions.
Liaise directly with the Head of Special Projects and present design delivery progress, status and weekly/monthly reports.
Assist in resolving any design issues as per authorities’ regulations.
Enforce general design procedures during the design process.
Enforce compliance of coordination procedures with Architecture, ID, MEP and Structural departments within the design team, and take charge in resolving any coordination issues.
Keep up‑to‑date on the latest design requirements, NOCs, sustainability and environmental requirements and make the team aware of these requirements.
Review drawings and ensure compliance with authority design guidelines and regulations and master developer’s DCR.
Periodically review project design progress with HOD to ensure compliance of the project to the initially set design direction, including monitoring project schedule and approved budget.
Direct and manage the team to modify existing designs, based on management direction.
Follow‑up, manage and keep track of project changes and adjustments. Liaise with all stakeholders.
Provide support to junior team members while guiding them throughout work processes.
Attend meetings with external consultants and authorities when needed.
Assist HOD in managing the work of external consultants.
Assist HOD in identifying issues in workflow and processes.
Here’s what you’ll need
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
A minimum of 15 years of high‑caliber experience in design and design management, ideally within landmark or culturally significant developments.
Advanced proficiency in Revit and Rhino, with the ability to translate complex architectural visions into refined deliverables.
Demonstrated experience leading the design of opera houses, theatres or symphonic halls, or similarly iconic performance venues.
