Industrial System Engineer (ISE) – Airbus Apply to join Airbus as an Industrial System Engineer (ISE) to develop the next generation industrial systems that drive our future products. The role operates across the UK, Germany and Spain, collaborating with the Wing Industrial Architects team of approx 30 people.

About the Role As an Industrial System Engineer, you will integrate between the Industrial Architects across the wing perimeter, define and prove the best industrial system for each concept, trade performance to deliver the best end‑to‑end solution, and support the future production of Airbus wing manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement the best‑in‑class industrial system through collaboration with industrial teams for all product life cycle phases.
Apply and transfer industrial system design processes, methods and tools across teams and communities.
Develop and manage TLIR (Top Level Industrial Requirements).
Create first‑draft build concepts, processes and variants.
Embody Industrial Authority and IDP principles.
Recommend industrial system sizing (layout, flows, stations, buffers, lead‑time).
Build industrial system models and simulations.
Collaborate with Airbus India colleagues for offshore deliverables.
Define industrial requirements for product/process/technology/assets.
Predictive performance analysis (CVAT, OEE, flow efficiency, capacity, ramp‑up, surface efficiency, CAPEX).
Conduct lean line design assessments and recommendations.
Propose layouts for the considered industrial system.
Converge industrial system performance to Airbus requirements.
About You
In‑depth experience in a relevant/equivalent sector (e.g., gas/oil, automotive, nuclear).
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and its benefits/challenges.
Experience working across cultures and nationalities.
Experience or exposure in lean methodology or application.
Excellent written communication skills in English.
Experience in system engineering / MBSE.
Experience using modelling and simulation tools and deploying them within an organisation.
Championship of system engineering methodology across peers.
Decision making based on evidence derived from strong toolset application.
