Job Description The Senior Backend Ruby Engineer will be instrumental in bolstering the functionality and reliability of the core systems. This role provides a unique chance to delve into backend technologies, working in tandem with both the Product Team and Front-end Engineers to creatively respond to customer needs. Additionally, you will play a vital role in mentoring and expanding the backend team, ensuring exemplary standards in code quality and development practices.
Key Responsibilities
Engage actively with all aspects of our current codebase, utilizing an efficient development workflow.
Handle a wide range of technical challenges across various layers of the system.
Support the growth and evolution of the backend engineering team.
Collaborate with the Product Team and Front-end Engineers to gain insights into customer requirements and challenges.
Develop technical solutions aimed at enhancing the features and architecture of our platform.
Requirements
Proficient in Ruby, with at least 6 years of hands-on experience.
Experience working with large datasets and within event-driven environments.
A genuine enthusiasm for Open Source—if you have contributed to open source projects or leveraged open source tools, we would love to hear about it!
Preferred: Experience with billing or tax-related projects, whether in implementing, maintaining, or integrating billing systems with business tools (such as CRM or finance software).
A strong drive to engage in the early stages of co-developing a product and influencing the future of the organization.
