About the Role Working in partnership with the Foods Content, Media and Commerce (CMC) team, the Social Media Manager (midweight level) will take ownership and be the driving force behind and with a focus on Pot Noodle across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X, alongside supporting paid execution across an exciting new brand launching into the UK.
You’ll play a key role in supporting new product launches and developing and growing the communities of our brands through impactful "social first" content and community management to meet key brand objectives. You’ll be fully owning relationships with the brand manager and stakeholders as the day‑to‑day touchpoint and be responsible for interrogating and positively challenging asks to arrive at the best solutions that are fit for social and platform. You’ll also be the expert they turn to for advice on social ideas and influencer briefs so there’s a lot of opportunity to feed into wider marketing activities and establish yourself as a trusted voice for the brands.
What You Will Be Doing
Working with the Senior Social Media Manager, you will execute the UK social media strategy for Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok and emerging platforms as required for Pot Noodle.
Owning the development of the day‑to‑day content calendar with an emphasis on strategic forward planning to ensure content is prepped and scheduled on a quarterly basis.
Owning and running weekly connects with your brand managers to keep up to date with upcoming marketing activities and campaigns to keep your content calendar current.
Working closely with and brief internal content creators, designers, external agencies, and influencers to create content for the channels, and editing footage into engaging Reels when needed.
Undertaking daily community management—responding to comments, DMs and tagged content while identifying usable UGC, gifting opportunities and content inspiration.
Seeking out and championing social partnerships and giveaways with other like‑minded brands, flagging opportunities to brand managers and managing the partner relationship to bring it to life on social.
Feeding into influencer plans and opportunities presented by the influencer agency of choice, offering suggestions based on your expertise and community insights.
Maintaining reporting dashboards for your brands each month, providing ad‑hoc snapshot reports to brand managers that highlight key performance metrics, rich insights and actionable recommendations.
Working alongside Customer Care and Corporate Comms to identify the type and magnitude of social crises and highlight social considerations when the wider team plans a strategic response.
Keeping brand managers up to date with the latest social‑listening data collected through native in‑app scrolling and trend dashboards, and working with a data analyst on running insights into data‑driven ideas.
Using the broader OLIVER social team for knowledge sharing and advice, and connecting with global social counterparts on a monthly basis.
