Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician
Location:
Hockley, Birmingham, B18 5AY Salary:
£28K – £29K per annum, DOE + Excellent Benefits! Contract:
Full time, Permanent Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, occasional weekends) Benefits:

We are seeking a
Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician
to ensure our products, processes, and facilities meet food safety, quality, and legal standards.
This role involves auditing, data analysis, and promoting a culture of quality across the business.
Responsibilities
Conduct internal and external audits of production areas and processes.
Verify compliance with HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards.
Review and maintain accurate documentation and digital records.
Identify non-conformities and report findings to relevant teams.
Follow up on corrective actions to ensure effectiveness.
Enter production and packing data to generate daily reports and KPIs.
Support traceability and mock recall exercises.
Collaborate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, and Technical teams.
Qualifications
1-2 years’ experience in food safety, quality assurance, or food industry.
Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and quality management systems.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Food Science.
HACCP Level 3, Food Safety Level 3, Internal Auditing Level 2 certification.
