Position Description The Role An excellent opportunity has arisen within the C&I Business Unit for a proactive individual to join the AHU sales team as a Sales Engineer reporting to the Commercial Director.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve overall sales target – selling standard and bespoke ranges in line with specifications
Generation of sales leads and managing the process from initial enquiry to order placement, including final negotiation
Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers, consultants and end users, in line with the Company’s 80/20 strategy
Seek new business opportunities and create new relationships
Understand market requirements
With the support of the Estimating team, select and cost products using bespoke software packages
Feed into Product Development to assist with coordinating sales strategy with the right equipment and cost elements clearly defined
Identify market movers (new products, systems, trends)
Proactive forward planning of monthly appointments and meetings
Update CRM as required
Required Education & Qualifications Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and/or the Building Services/HVAC industry (ideally Engineering qualification required, minimum HND or degree).
Desirable Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of air handling units.
Ability to communicate and work with different groups of people effectively throughout Airedale and externally.
You will have established contacts within Mechanical and Electrical Consultants and Contractors.
