Sales Manager at Hanson Wade Group We are seeking a
Sales Manager
to lead the Beacon Sales team at
Hanson Wade Group , a leading business intelligence organization specializing in data intelligence and community building within the Life Sciences industry.
Our data and conference products are considered best‑in‑class by the markets we serve. The company is experiencing rapid growth, both in revenues and headcount, and aims to double in size within the next five years.
Team Beacon Sales is responsible for selling subscriptions of our market‑leading SaaS platform to biopharmaceutical companies. The role requires a deep understanding of the scientific community and the ability to conduct peer‑level conversations, challenge the status‑quo, and drive results.
Role The role is a managerial position with an expectation of developing and nurturing our new‑business sales team.
Managing a team of 4‑5 New Business Sales Reps
Delivering new‑business sales targets
Reporting on sales effectiveness, rep performance, and SDR/marketing lead coverage
Developing systems and processes to enhance and streamline the sales process
Motivating and incentivising the sales team
Managing pipeline accuracy
Providing effective training and development to increase team skill and adapt to buyer habit changes
Collaborating with Marketing and SDR functions to drive volume and quality of sales opportunities
Collaborating with Revenue Operations to improve systems and processes
Resourcing efficiently to maximise market opportunity
In the first six months, the focus will be on gaining strong product and target‑persona knowledge. Successful sales managers will demonstrate the ability to sell the product themselves and develop their team.

Qualifications
4+ years of SaaS sales delivery and 1‑2 years in a player/manager role
Experience selling into the biopharma market
Track record of delivering sales growth and exceeding team targets
Track record of developing and advancing sales reps
Strong new‑business and new‑logo sales process knowledge
Passionate about business and sales
Highly motivated and driven to succeed
Target‑oriented and willing to over‑achieve
Creative and high energy
Ambitious yet supportive of others’ success
Eager to learn and open to development
Strong work ethic with appreciation for reflection and success enjoyment
