*Staff Pharmacist Duties*
* Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all legal and safety regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy, considering physiology, anatomy, and medical history.
* Collaborate with healthcare teams on medical management plans.
* Prepare and compound medications using aseptic techniques for various patient populations.
* Manage inventory levels efficiently, ensuring proper storage, stock rotation, and documentation of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
* Utilize pharmacy software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for prescription processing, documentation, and communication.
* Provide patient service by offering medication counseling, answering questions about drug interactions, side effects, and proper usage.
* Perform patient care activities such as medication reconciliation and patient education to promote optimal health outcomes.
* Maintain aseptic technique during compounding and IV preparation to ensure safety and sterility standards are met.
* Assist in training pharmacy technicians and support staff to uphold high-quality pharmacy operations.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to hospital or clinical pharmacy practices.
*Staff Pharmacist Requirements*
* Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the applicable jurisdiction.
* Experience with pharmacy residency programs or clinical pharmacy experience is highly desirable.
* Proficiency with pharmacy software systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and inventory management tools.
* Hands-on experience with non-sterile compounding and aseptic technique are highly desired.
* Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education efforts.
