About you
As a Risk Analytics Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled Risk Data Analysts. Your role is crucial to ensuring a smooth onboarding journey for our customers while reducing merchant and fraud risk. You will also produce dashboards and reports to inform business decisions.
Day‑to‑day, you will:
Lead the Risk Analytics team in the UK.
Develop and implement automation tools and models (workflows, scorecards) to streamline underwriting.
Develop and maintain Machine Learning (ML) & Artificial Intelligence (AI) models to mitigate merchant risk and payment fraud.
Create and maintain dashboards to track risk performance and inform business decisions.
Set up monitoring alerts to prevent merchant losses.
Work closely with the merchant investigations and fraud investigations teams to ensure effective monitoring of merchants and fraud.
Work on risk‑related projects as assigned.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
Previous experience working in data analytics in the payments industry.
Advanced SQL, experience with Python or R.
Knowledge of AI tools and advanced statistical methods for detecting and mitigating risk.
Experience using visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Highly productive and self‑motivated with excellent communication skills, confident working closely with customers/stakeholders and interfacing with Senior Management.
Extensive multitasking and prioritisation skills, able to excel in a fast‑paced environment with frequently changing priorities.
