The Role
Lead, motivate, and develop a sales office team of 6, supporting 4 BDMs in the field
Work closely with engineers, welders, and CAD designers to ensure smooth operations
Oversee quotations, technical sales support, and customer enquiries
Implement process improvements and drive efficiency across sales operations
Support new business development, entering new markets and maintaining relationships with corporate and distribution clients
Ensure accurate costing, PQQ/tender submissions, and management of construction contracts
Produce reports on revenue, forecasts, and KPIs for the leadership team
Manage day-to-day staff matters, including absence, performance, coaching, and team communication
Maintain compliance with health and safety policies and company procedures
What We're Looking For
Experience in engineering, technical or manufacturing environments
Solid leadership & office management skills
Process-driven, organised and proactive
Comfortable working in a traditional, hands-on business
Strong communicator who can work between departments
Resilient, solutions-focused and approachable
(This role does not require deep mechanical engineering knowledge, but you must understand how technical/production-based businesses operate.)
