Job Title: Lead Line Cook – Caribbean Cuisine

We are seeking a talented and motivated Lead Line Cook with a passion for Caribbean food to join our culinary team. As Lead Line Cook, you will oversee daily prep, ensure smooth service, and maintain the highest standards of food quality and cleanliness.

• Prep Work & Production:

  • Perform and oversee all prep tasks, including chopping, seasoning, marinating, and preparing traditional Caribbean ingredients.

  • Ensure ingredients—such as jerk marinades, curries, and house-made sauces—are fresh, labeled, and stocked.

• Line Cooking & Execution:

  • Cook and assemble Caribbean dishes with consistency and attention to flavor balance.

  • Lead the line during service, keeping dishes flowing with speed and accuracy.

• Expediting & Plating:

  • Act as expo during busy periods, coordinating between the line and front-of-house.

  • Plate dishes with attractive, vibrant presentation that reflects Caribbean culinary style.

• Kitchen Cleanliness & Compliance:

  • Maintain strict adherence to health department regulations, food safety guidelines, and sanitation procedures.

  • Keep stations clean, organized, and compliant at all times.

• Dishwashing & Support Tasks:

  • Jump in to support dishwashing and cleaning as needed to ensure smooth service.

  • Foster a positive, team-oriented kitchen environment.

• 5 years of line cook experience; experience with Caribbean or island-inspired cuisine is a strong plus.

• Solid knowledge of food safety and health code compliance.

• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and perform under pressure.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example.
