Food Artisan Leader

Oiji Mi, a Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant in New York City's Flatiron District, is seeking an Executive Chef to lead its kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily operations, menu execution, and team leadership.

• Culinary & Service Execution:

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure consistent high-quality execution of menus
• Maintain Michelin-level standards for technique, seasoning, and presentation
• Support menu development in collaboration with the culinary team
• Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and front-of-house during service

• Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead and manage the Sous Chef team and culinary staff
• Foster a professional, collaborative, and disciplined kitchen culture
• Train, mentor, and develop team members with a focus on growth and accountability
• Participate in hiring and staffing decisions

• Operations & Standards:

• Maintain all back-of-house areas to NYC Department of Health standards
• Oversee inventory, ordering, scheduling, and administrative responsibilities
• Uphold cleanliness, organization, and safety systems
• Ensure all operational procedures and company standards are followed

• Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent in a Michelin-starred or comparable fine dining environment
• Strong leadership skills and operational kitchen experience
• Proficiency with scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and administrative systems
• English fluency required; Spanish preferred
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Professional communication with staff, guests, and management
