Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to appropriate storage or production areas.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory control, including stock rotation and cycle counts.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and company policies diligently.
- Ensure correct usage of appropriate PPE for all tasks.
- Contribute to team efforts and support colleagues in meeting operational goals.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent damage, potentially involving moderate Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Valid forklift certification is an asset.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting, both independently and collaboratively.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Willingness to adapt to changing operational needs.
