We are seeking dedicated Distribution Center Associates to join our state-of-the-art facility in Huntsville, Alabama! This critical role supports the seamless flow of goods within our supply chain. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be involved in a wide range of warehouse activities, including receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, packing and preparing items for shipment, and managing inventory. Your attention to detail and commitment to efficiency are key to our operational success. We place a high priority on workplace Safety ; all associates must strictly adhere to safety protocols and diligently use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role requires physical agility and stamina, involving frequent Lifting of items weighing up to 60 pounds, as well as sustained periods of standing, walking, and bending. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately put away incoming inventory.
- Efficiently pick and pack orders according to specific requirements.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and regular audits.
- Keep the distribution center clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Comply with all company Safety policies and procedures, utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Report any unsafe conditions or operational issues to management promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the broader Logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs) consistently.
- Understanding of inventory management and order fulfillment processes.
- Strong commitment to Safety standards and the correct use of PPE.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Basic knowledge of Logistics operations is beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
