Join our expanding logistics operation in Washington, D.C. as a skilled Forklift Operator. This critical role supports the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials, ensuring inventory is managed accurately and safely. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with efficiency and care.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure operational safety.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
- Follow guidelines for safe Lifting and material handling.
- Support the logistics team in meeting operational targets.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety regulations.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy Lifting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
