We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Technician for our advanced facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role involves maintaining the operational integrity of our warehouse equipment and systems, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventive care strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in minimizing downtime and supporting our complex logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, including conveyors, sorters, and forklifts.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with warehouse machinery.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with PPE requirements.
- Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Support the logistics team by ensuring the reliability of the infrastructure.
- Follow all procedures for the safe operation and maintenance of equipment, including considerations for Lifting heavy components.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with various types of warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including occasional heavy Lifting.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
