Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our team in Sacramento, California. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, serving as the primary point of responsibility for all incoming goods. Your duties will include unloading trucks, verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting merchandise for quality and accuracy, and accurately entering received data into our system. A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach are essential for success. You will play a critical part in our supply chain **logistics**, ensuring that inventory is accurately accounted for from the moment it arrives. We are committed to maintaining a **safety**-first environment, and all employees are expected to adhere to our strict **safety** protocols and wear the designated **PPE**. The ideal candidate will be organized, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal departments regarding discrepancies. Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload incoming freight efficiently and accurately.
  • Verify contents of shipments against corresponding purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of received goods for damage or defects.
  • Accurately record all received inventory into the warehouse management system.
  • Tag, sort, and stage incoming products for put-away or direct distribution.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors and vendors promptly.
  • Follow all company **safety** policies and **PPE** requirements diligently.
  • Support other **logistics** and warehouse functions as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a similar warehouse **logistics** role.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and computer systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including **lifting** up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of warehouse **safety** procedures and **PPE**.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
