We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage our warehouse operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This leadership role requires excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management, and the ability to effectively coordinate a team. You will be responsible for managing inventory, optimizing warehouse layout, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to take on more responsibility in a critical operational role.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure accuracy.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows.
- Ensure adherence to all company Safety policies and procedures, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on operational procedures and safety practices.
- Coordinate with carriers and manage inbound/outbound logistics.
- Maintain records of inventory, shipments, and operational costs.
- Optimize space utilization and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure all team members utilize appropriate PPE and follow safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or as a Warehouse Coordinator.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and Logistics .
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to handle occasional heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
