We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Miami, Florida. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of goods to our customers. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. Excellent understanding of shipping procedures and documentation is essential for success in this role. Your contributions will directly impact customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, including creating shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Verify that all orders are accurately picked, packed, and labeled before shipment.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL freight) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update inventory management systems accordingly.
- Inspect outgoing packages for damage or discrepancies.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipping status and potential delays.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Manage inventory of shipping supplies and reorder as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable with moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Knowledge of proper PPE usage is mandatory.
- A strong commitment to Safety in all aspects of the job.
