We are seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for transit. Your keen attention to detail will be critical in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position involves working closely with various teams to coordinate the efficient movement of goods and maintain accurate shipping records.
Responsibilities:
- Process and document all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Verify shipment contents against orders and shipping manifests.
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation for all parcels and freight.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including proper lifting and the use of PPE.
- Track shipments and provide updates as necessary.
- Operate shipping equipment such as scales and printers.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments.
- Support the overall logistics operations of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics is highly preferred. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential. Must be proficient in using shipping software and basic computer applications. Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 40 pounds) and stand for extended periods. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines is required. This role is vital for our outbound logistics efficiency.
