We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. Your expertise in handling various types of materials and operating equipment will ensure smooth operations and contribute to the overall productivity of our logistics department. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment to and from designated areas.
- Accurately identify and label materials.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is required.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, typically up to 70 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles.
- Must be comfortable working in a demanding logistics environment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and the use of PPE.
