We are looking for a dependable Material Handler to join our logistics team in Orlando, Florida. This position plays a key role in the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring materials are moved, stored, and prepared for distribution efficiently and safely. The Material Handler will operate forklifts and other equipment, manage inventory, and maintain a well-organized work area. Physical capability, keen attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety protocols are essential. You will be responsible for handling a variety of goods, ensuring their integrity throughout the process. Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE, is critical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials in designated locations.
- Accurately track inventory movements and assist with stock counts.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring goods are handled with care.
- Transport materials within the warehouse as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Follow proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Assist with order picking and packing when required.
- Support overall logistics flow of goods within the facility.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Must possess the physical ability to handle frequent and significant lifting.
