We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler to support our bustling logistics warehouse in Miami, Florida. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our facility. The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, storing, and preparing materials for shipment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety. You will be operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products, load and unload trucks, and maintain organized storage areas. Understanding the importance of proper lifting techniques and adhering to safety guidelines are crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials accurately.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and location verification.
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring significant lifting and manual dexterity.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is beneficial.
