We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Fort Worth, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and organization of our warehouse operations. You will ensure that all goods are handled with care and transported safely to their designated locations. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires a keen eye for detail to prevent damage to inventory and equipment. Your primary focus will be on safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse, contributing to the overall success of our logistics department.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and other vehicles.
- Stack and store merchandise in designated areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the warehouse management system.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including picking and packing orders.
- Follow all instructions for safe lifting techniques and material handling.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all safety regulations.
