We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Your responsibilities will include unloading deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and accurately entering received items into our system. This position is critical to maintaining accurate inventory and supporting our overall Logistics operations. We maintain a strong focus on employee Safety .
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for any damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record all received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received products for proper storage and tracking.
- Organize and maintain the receiving area, ensuring it is clean and free of hazards.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors or relevant departments.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking activities as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety guidelines and protocols.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE , including safety vests and gloves.
- Support other warehouse functions as directed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a receiving, warehouse, or inventory role is preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with WMS are advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Understanding of Logistics workflow.
