Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional? We have an excellent opportunity for a Shipping Clerk in our Houston, Texas logistics hub. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and processing outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and correct delivery to our customers. Your role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include verifying shipping orders, preparing shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. You will also assist with loading and unloading as needed and ensure that all safety protocols are followed, including the appropriate use of PPE. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical skills, proficiency in shipping software, and a thorough understanding of logistics documentation. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. While primarily administrative, there may be occasional requirements for lifting up to 25 pounds. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain organized shipping records and logs.
- Assist with inventory counts and checks as needed.
- Ensure a clean and safe shipping area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Proper use of required PPE.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and logistics.
- Ability to perform light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Commitment to safety and proper PPE usage.
- Good communication skills.
