We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our robust logistics operations in Denver, Colorado. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include operating various types of material handling equipment, receiving and dispatching goods, and maintaining accurate inventory records. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of warehouse operations, excellent physical coordination, and a commitment to accuracy. Prior experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery is highly preferred. You will be a vital link in our supply chain, ensuring that materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there. Responsibilities include:
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and containers.
- Moving materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Assisting with inventory control, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
- Organizing and maintaining warehouse storage areas for optimal efficiency and safety.
- Ensuring all materials are properly handled to prevent damage.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
- Working collaboratively with the logistics team to meet operational demands.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler, Forklift Operator, or similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs and operating machinery.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Reliability and a strong commitment to job performance in a logistics environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding warehouse setting.
