Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to become a key member of our logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks, ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods. Your duties will include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. We prioritize the safety and well-being of our employees, mandating the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all established safety protocols. This position is ideal for individuals who are comfortable with physical labor and thrive in a structured, fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution setting is a significant advantage. You will play a crucial role in our supply chain, contributing to the timely delivery of products to our customers. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential qualities we are looking for. Responsibilities include:
  • Receiving and inspecting incoming stock, verifying against purchase orders.
  • Storing and organizing inventory in designated warehouse areas.
  • Accurately picking items for customer orders using pick lists or scanners.
  • Packing orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
  • Loading and unloading trucks and other vehicles.
  • Conducting regular inventory counts and assisting with stocktaking.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
  • Following all safety guidelines rigorously and utilizing all required PPE.
  • Assisting with shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Working effectively with team members to meet operational goals.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a logistics setting.
  • Reliability and punctuality are a must.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
