We have an immediate opening for an experienced Forklift Operator in St. Louis, Missouri. As a vital member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to support all warehouse activities. This includes moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. You will also be involved in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring that all materials are handled with care and accuracy. Our commitment to Safety is paramount, and we expect all operators to adhere to strict safety protocols. This position is critical to our Logistics and supply chain success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, verifying shipment contents.
- Perform routine safety checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Adhere to all OSHA and company Safety regulations.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while on the warehouse floor.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- This position requires the ability to perform significant Lifting and physical tasks.
- Work cooperatively with other team members and supervisors to meet operational demands.
- Identify and report any potential safety risks or equipment malfunctions.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of verifiable forklift operation experience. Valid forklift certification. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Must be reliable and punctual.
