Join our bustling warehouse in Chicago, Illinois as a Picker/Packer! We are seeking diligent and efficient individuals to accurately pick and pack orders for shipment. This is a critical role in our logistics chain, ensuring our customers receive their items correctly and on time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, can work at a fast pace, and is committed to maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Verify order details against product for accuracy.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory movement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Meet productivity and quality standards.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Understand and follow company guidelines for handling different types of products.
- Support the overall goals of the logistics department and maintain high standards of performance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Basic math skills for inventory verification.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Commitment to following all safety guidelines and wearing required PPE .
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- A team player with good communication skills.
