Join our vibrant **logistics** team in Miami, Florida, as a Material Handler. This position is crucial for the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, receiving and storing inventory, and preparing materials for production or shipment. A strong emphasis is placed on **safety**, and all employees are expected to follow strict protocols and utilize the provided **PPE**. Your ability to manage materials effectively, including **lifting** and moving items, will be key to your success. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move, stack, and organize materials.
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory for damage or discrepancies.
- Stock materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Retrieve materials for production lines or outbound shipping orders.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and **safe** work area.
- Adhere to all company **safety** policies and procedures, including mandatory **PPE** usage.
- Perform tasks involving **lifting** and moving materials, potentially weighing up to 55 lbs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient **logistics** operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or **safety** concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse environment is required.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to **lift** and maneuver materials weighing up to 55 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse **safety** procedures and practices.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Must wear all required **PPE**, including safety shoes and vests.
- Familiarity with **logistics** terminology and processes is an advantage.
