Job Summary:
Our busy Chicago, Illinois warehouse is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Clerk to join our dedicated team. As an Inventory Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our stock. Your responsibilities will include performing cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and assisting with physical inventories. You will be responsible for entering inventory data into our warehouse management system (WMS) and generating reports on stock levels and movements. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to ensure efficient inventory control and minimize stockouts or overages. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will be proficient with basic computer applications and possess a solid understanding of inventory management principles. Your contribution will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through reliable stock availability. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Receive, store, and issue inventory items according to established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS.
  • Assist with periodic and annual physical inventory counts.
  • Prepare inventory reports for management review.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory.
  • Adhere to all **safety** guidelines and **PPE** requirements.
  • Support **logistics** operations by ensuring timely and accurate stock data.
  • Participate in **lifting** and moving inventory as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in inventory control or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with WMS software is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including **lifting** up to 30 lbs.
  • Commitment to workplace **safety** and proper **PPE** usage.
  • Understanding of basic **logistics** and warehouse operations.
