A Physical Therapist involves assessing and treating patients with physical impairments due to injury, illness, or surgery. The therapist designs personalized rehabilitation plans aimed at restoring mobility, reducing pain, and promoting independence. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best care for each patient, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Evaluate patients' physical abilities and functional limitations.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and progress.
Perform therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
Educate patients and their families on treatment processes and preventive care.
Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes accurately.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to ensure cohesive patient care.
Provide guidance and support to physical therapy assistants and other healthcare staff.
Qualifications:
Doctoral program in Physical Therapy
State licensure and relevant certifications.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care, experience is a plus
