We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to join our busy warehouse in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be instrumental in the efficient flow of materials throughout our facility. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing orders for shipment. We are looking for individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment. This position offers a great opportunity to gain experience in the logistics sector and contribute to a hardworking team.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and prepare orders accurately for shipment.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety standards and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Follow all procedures for safe Lifting and movement of goods.
- Support the overall logistics operations by ensuring timely material processing.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Capable of frequent Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
