Our Cincinnati, Ohio distribution center is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will play a crucial part in our warehousing operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receiving to dispatch. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to follow instructions precisely. You must be adept at navigating warehouse environments and handling various types of loads. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times. The ability to perform frequent lifting and work in a physically demanding setting is essential. We are seeking reliable, safety-conscious individuals who can contribute to our team's productivity and efficiency. Experience with different types of forklifts and an understanding of warehouse logistics are highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other industrial trucks to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack products efficiently and safely.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow dispatch and receiving procedures accurately.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve operational goals.
- Understand and apply principles of logistics in daily tasks.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Willingness to wear and correctly use PPE.
- Ability to read and understand labels, instructions, and shipping documents.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
