We are hiring a Forklift Operator for our dynamic logistics facility in Portland, Oregon. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stage, and transport materials throughout the facility. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly, from receiving goods to dispatching orders. This position requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to strict safety standards, and proficiency in handling various types of merchandise. You will perform pre-operational checks on equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times. The successful candidate will have prior experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse environment and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. The ability to work collaboratively with team members and contribute to a positive work atmosphere is highly valued. Responsibilities include:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on forklifts
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Wear appropriate PPE consistently
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment
