We are searching for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing procedures to ensure optimal inventory accuracy. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our stock is accurately tracked, leading to improved efficiency in order fulfillment and reduced operational costs. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and dedicated to upholding the highest standards of inventory control and safety, including the proper use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory aging and turnover.
- Assist in receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate data entry.
- Identify and report damaged or obsolete inventory.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency with WMS and other inventory-related software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
