Join our fast-paced logistics operation in Las Vegas, Nevada, as a skilled Forklift Operator. You will be instrumental in the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout our expansive warehouse. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory between storage areas, and staging materials for production or shipment. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining operational safety, adhering to all company regulations, and ensuring the proper functioning of forklift equipment. The successful candidate will possess a valid forklift certification and a proven track record of safe operation. Your role is critical in supporting the supply chain and ensuring that materials reach their destinations on time and in excellent condition. We are looking for reliable individuals who are committed to excellence in their work and understand the importance of precision in a busy warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload pallets and merchandise from trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure proper stacking and securing of loads to prevent damage and accidents.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe forklift operating practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
