Join our thriving logistics network as a Forklift Operator in Atlanta, Georgia! We are looking for skilled and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other machinery to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is vital for the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from production and storage areas, and ensuring the integrity of inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and bulk materials throughout the warehouse.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and stability.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating systems.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper PPE usage.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as organizing, sweeping, and light lifting.
- Follow all procedures related to the logistics of moving goods within the facility.
- Contribute to a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
Must possess a valid forklift operator certification or have verifiable experience. Experience with different types of forklifts is highly desirable. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness are necessary. A strong commitment to safety is paramount. Ability to work in a physically demanding role that involves frequent lifting, bending, and standing. This is a critical role in our logistics operations.
